Symposium Convenor and Speaker: Dr Aileen Scully, Assistant Professor, Singapore Institute of Technology
Title: Scaffolding the Mind – Teaching clinical reasoning through structured questioning
Biography: Aileen is an experienced physiotherapist specialising in neurological rehabilitation. She has managed people with neurological conditions from the acute inpatient setting through to the outpatient and home settings. She has been active in clinical research for over ten years and has a special interest in chronic neurodegenerative conditions.

Speaker: Dr Mark Anthony Wen Kein Chan, Assistant Professor, Singapore Institute of Technology
Title: Everyday AI for Physiotherapy Educators: Strengthening Reasoning and Behaviour Change Without the Tech Overload
Biography: Mark is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He teaches musculoskeletal physiotherapy, health promotion, and behaviour change communication, with a focus on helping students build early clinical reasoning and patient-centred communication skills. His recent work explores practical, low-barrier uses of AI in physiotherapy education, including AI-enabled patient interviews, gamified learning tools, and structured case-based teaching to support large cohorts.
Speaker: Dr Audrey Lim Ei-Ping, Assistant Professor, Singapore Institute of Technology
Title: Simulating Reality, Advancing Practice: High-Fidelity Training for Musculoskeletal Imaging Competence
Biography: Audrey is an assistant professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). She is the Program Lead for SIT Physiotherapy undergraduate program and is involved in the module development for the SIT Master of Health Sciences (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy). Her teaching responsibilities include ethics and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Audrey’s research interests are in the areas of ethics and healthcare education with a focus on use of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
