Voting Membership Category

Life Membership

Eligible to Ordinary and Spouse members who had paid membership for at least 20 years for a final subscription of $500. Also offered to Ordinary and Spouse members with less than 20 years of membership for a one-time subscription of $2,000.

Fees

  • $500 for lifetime
  • A one-time payment of $2,000 for Ordinary and Spouse members with less than 20 years of paid membership.
  • No admin fee 
UPGRADE

Ordinary Membership

Eligible to persons possessing a qualification in Physiotherapy and registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.

Requirements:

  • Must be AHPC registered.

Fees

  • $240 for 2 years
  • $40 admin fee for new applicants.

Spouse Membership

Eligible to spouse of a current Ordinary member, who possess a qualification in Physiotherapy and registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.

Requirements:

  • Must be AHPC registered.
  • Certified true copy of the Marriage certificate.

Fees

  • $140 for 2 years
  • $40 admin fee for new applicants.  No admin fee if converting from Ordinary membership.

Postgraduate Membership

Only available to Ordinary members, who are pursuing a post-graduate degree locally or overseas, as full time students.

Requirements:

  • Certified true copy of postgraduate educational admission letter or certificate.

Persons who may certify documents include Justices of Peace (JP), notary public, legal practitioners, admission officers of your University, your employment company’s Human Resources Department, Head of Department or Chief Physiotherapist. Certified translations in English of all documents must be provided.

Fees

  • $140 for 2 years
  • Tenure for 2 years only. (To convert back to Ordinary upon expiry) 
  • No admin fee
CONVERT

New Graduate Membership

Open to newly graduated physiotherapists from local or overseas universities who are working locally within the first 2 years upon graduation.

Requirements:

  • Must be AHPC registered

Fees

  • $140 for 2 years
  • Tenure for 2 years only.
  • No renewal for this category.  Can upgrade to Ordinary or Spouse membership upon expiry.   
  • Admin fee for new applicant. No admin fee for those converting from Student membership.

Non-voting Membership Category

Student Membership

Open to all physiotherapy students studying locally in Singapore. Not for renewal.

Requirements:

  • Certified true copy of their Student Card or Letter of Admission by the school admission office.
  • Membership application must cover the academic term of the student.

Fee Structure:

  • 4-years Student Membership: Subscription fee: $80.00 (SGD)
    Eligible: Students who are in their first year of their 4-year course.
  • 3-years Student Membership: Subscription fee: $75.00 (SGD)
    Eligible: Students who are in their second year of their 4-year course or those who in their first year of their 3-year integrated programme.
  • 2- years Student Membership: Subscription fee: $50.00 (SGD)
    Eligible: Students who are in their third year of their 4-year course or those who in their second year of their 3-year integrated programme.
  • 1- year Student Membership: Subscription fee: $25.00 (SGD)
    Eligible: Students who are in their final year of their course.

Fees

  • $25 to $80 (refer to Fee Structure)
  • No admin fee
  • No renewal for this category
  • Can upgrade to New Graduate membership upon expiry.

Associate Membership

Open to persons who are working as Physiotherapy Assistants in Singapore and have basic physiotherapy training, but is not recognised to practise as physiotherapists in Singapore;

OR

Persons, who are employed as physiotherapists in their own country or residence (outside of Singapore) and have basic physiotherapy training from an institution in the WCPT member organisation.

Requirements:

  • Certified true copy of Passport showing particulars and photo (overseas applicants)
  • Certified True Copy Educational Certifications in Physiotherapy
  • Certified True Copy of Registration to practice as physiotherapist in country of practice
  • Certified True Copy of membership in physiotherapy association in native country or country of practice, if any.
